CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – United Launch Alliance officials announced details for the upcoming Vulcan rocket scheduled to lift off from Florida’s Space Coast.
The VC2S rocket is scheduled to launch the second certification (Cert-2) mission from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Friday, Oct. 4. The launch window runs from 6-9 a.m.
According to a news release, the Cert-2 mission includes an inert payload and demonstrations associated with future Centaur V technologies and is the second of two test flights required for ULA’s certification process with the U.S. Space Force.
